The good news is that Canadians can still travel to Cuba for vacation or their health tourism needs. Although there are no direct flights from Canadian airports with Canadian airlines, there are still flight options available to choose from. These are as follows:

  • Via Miami (American Airlines) to Havana, Santa Clara, Camagüey, and Holguin.
  • Via Panama City (Copa Airlines) to Havana.
  • Via Mexico City (Aeroméxico) to Havana.

IMPORTANT:

  • Don’t forget to apply for your eVisa at Cuba’s e-visa travel site at least 72 hours before your flight.
  • Don’t forget to fill out the D’Viajeros form before traveling.
  • Hotels and transfers are available through the Cuba travel experts Hola Sun Holidays.

It is still possible to travel to other parts of Cuba to hotels in cities outside of Havana, in spite of the complexities of the transportation situation due to the fuel shortages. The Viazul bus network is still traveling between cities. Although on a reduced schedule, you can safely book your bus travel online at their website. Best advice is to book early.

Canadians can also book all-inclusive hotel packages through Hola Sun, and Hola Sun will transport them to their hotel in Varadero or other areas of Cuba where all-inclusive hotels are operating.

Below you will find a list of the Cuban hotels currently available in Hola Sun’s booking system.
